- Childhood - the pure irresponsible and very happy days .. but still there was this urge to grow up ! [ What a silly wish it seems like ! :) ]
- School days - Loads and loads of fun .. but raring to go to college .....
- Pre-University - Lively days ... and yet wanting to get into an engineering college ! :)
- Engineering - Some of the best days ever ... but wanting to get a good job and earn some cash ! :)
- Job days - Now this is seriously a very good contender .. the euphoria of landing a well paying job lasted quite some time and then there were the friends with whom I had all those bike rides and travelling ... plus met hubby in this duration ... So why would I not want to turn back time to this stage ?? Because now I know what life is like with my baby ..... :)
- So my current stage -- I think it says a lot that in spite of all the wonderful by-gone days ... I am in a very very good stage ... after all even if I really could I still would not want to go back ... :)

Listening to this Boney M song "Time changer of seasons .. time will see another flower growing" .. I thought ..If I could turn back time in my life - where would I want it to stop ( and stay there forever ) .. [Assuming no change in choices or decisions ... ]

There are 2 questions of fantasy we would always like to relate to (1) if you were to rewind, where would you like to stop (that is what your post is) (2) if you were to restart, how would you like to have it? (different upbringing, different choice of schools/college etc.., even different parents)
About 7-8 years ago, I was in a soft skills class when the instructor asked the 2nd question. Everybody came up with their own versions. I dont remember what I said, but I do remember one person who said "I like exactly the same family, same school, same upbringing, same friends and so on". Honestly, that girl seemed to me as silly and uncreative. But it took me years to realize what wisdom, maturity and clarity of thoughts one requires to say something like that.
So to both the questions, I feel you can be entirely serious (destiny, karma) or entirely practical (opportunity cost etc..) in your viewpoints.
Thanks Rao for your comments ! Yeah I remember something similar that my lecturer used to say .. and may be because of the way he worded it .. I always knew it requires a lot of maturity to realize it .. :)
As for me ..not sure I am mature .. what I do know is that I am lucky ! :) Which is why every stage has been a pleasure ... :)
I like the life am having but if I could choose a few things it'd be ballet classes frm childhood... wish I had taken bharatanatyam seriously rather than made excuses to skip it.. Would also hv liked to get as far away frm the corp life as possible... but on the personal front, family n frns n everything else is just right :D
@Namratha - :) I remember thinking every sem that next sem I would do better. I would study from day one ... very typical ... until the last sem and I realized there were no more semesters ! :) But in this case .. I cannot say I would change it ... I enjoyed college may be b'cos of these kind of promises ! :)
